The purpose of the Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) is to advise the Department of Elections on accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improving access to voting and election materials for voters with disabilities and voters who are elderly.
VAAC meetings are held six times per year and members are asked to attend all meetings to ensure members are able to engage in an ongoing dialogue. If you are unable to attend all VAAC meetings, but are interested in joining, the Department will make every possible effort to ensure you have the opportunity to participate and share your feedback and recommendations.
If you would like to join the VAAC, please complete the interest form and return it to the Department of Elections. The information you provide will be used for contact purposes only and your responses to the questions are optional. Once we receive your interest form, a member of the Department’s Community Engagement Team will contact you with more information.
For more information, contact a member of the Community Engagement Team using the contact form or by calling (415) 554-4375.
